Cycling sisters

Look mom! I'm a big girl now!
I know she's not wearing a helmet, but it's her therapy music...
As promised, here are the pictures of the girls on their bikes. I'm afraid I'm going to have to attach an umbrella to Daisy's to block the afternoon sun. If only we could ride facing away from the sun the whole time. Hmmm...Don't think we can get back home that way. I am going to have to search for a better shade covered route though. Daisy is loving her bike. Really such a blessing since I ran over her tricycle wheel with the van a couple of weeks ago and I think it may be irreparable. Two blogs in a row... Watch out people! You might be running to catch up with me too!

Daisy's 3rd Birthday

Pooh- Daisy's favorite
The birthday girl
...and friends
Time to blow out the candle
We had Daisy's 3rd birthday party at home with friends from her preschool class and the neighborhood. I didn't think I even needed to do a party until a few weeks ago when she pointed out that her birthday was in March and she was having friends to her party. Ummm, what party? Since when do you know the word March? I guess I have preschool to thank for this. But it was very low key and very effective and I think she had a good time, despite needing a nap. The weather was in the 70s and a tad windy but as Daron pointed out- no one got hurt unless you count a little vomit from too much trampoline time for one friend. She has many presents and a new bike. I will post pictures of her on the bike. She was riding it so fast today I had to run to keep up! No more toddlers. It all goes fast from here I bet...

Rodeo Y'all

It's rodeo time here in Houston. Daisy had her first Rodeo Parade at the preschool and Helen's school had a visit from some trailriders. I don't have a photo to prove it, but the most unusual thing was when one of the riders came over our way to let the kids touch the horse and it was an albino horse! White horse with blue eyes! It was amazing. Almost as much as the time, shortly before we went to get Helen, that I was driving along West Mountain Street in Kernersville and saw an albino deer run across someone's yard.

Daron plans to take Helen to the rodeo carnival over spring break next week (and he promises to hold on tight to her if they go on the giant Ferris Wheel!) Last year they had a great time and she enjoyed her first roller coasters.
